There are unlockables that require you to complete certain task to unlock new features in Lake of Creatures.
Each unlockable has a certain requirement how to unlock it.

| Death Route | Death Route is the hardest game mode in the game. True ending can only be reached on Death Route. This difficulty levels increases enemy shot speed, boss HP. Your bullets are blocked by enemy bullets here. | Win a Run |
| Quests | You can earn bottles by completing quests. These quests require you to do different things during a run. | Clear Mushroom Swamp with 2 Characters |
| Messages in Bottles | You unlock bottles that can be used as a currency to unlock new treasures in Town Square. | Clear Lotus Lake 5 Times |
| Town Square | In Town Square the player can unlock new treasures, participate in challenge runs, play magic cauldron runs and track their quest progress. | Win a Run |
| Treasure Salesman | You can unlock new treasures by purchasing them with bottles from this salesman located in Town Square. | Win a Run |
| Holes in Walls | These secret rooms appear in one of the first rooms of a lake. They can be spotted by the wall having an "X" mark on it and a blue firefly flying over it couple of times. You access the hole by shooting at it with a secondary weapon, your primary weapon will not be able to access this room. If you leave the room the entrance is in and come back too many times, the hole will no longer be there. Secret rooms hold valuables treasures inside. | Kill 1000 enemies in total |
| More Weapons | You unlock Blower, Uzi, Crossbow, Shorty & Harpoon gun. | Acquire 4 Badges |
| Even More Weapons | You unlock Blaster, Minigun, Kebab Cannon & Auto Shotgun | Acquire 10 Badges |
| Special Hearts | These Special Hearts offer more protection than normal hearts and some of them have interesting effects. | Win 5 Runs |
| Badges | These badges are completion marks that show what good deeds you've done in the lakes. Mayor rewards citizens who sacrifice their lives in order to cleanse the lakes with badges! | Win a Run |
